About Joshua D

Born, raised and currently based in Miami, USA, Joshua D is known for his eclectic style and intense rhythm. He has traveled around the world, infecting everyone he meets with a desire to groove. "For me, it's all about my passion of music," he points out. "Not everyone lives for the music, but I live and breath it."

Joshua D is an up-and-comer in the Miami scene. He has frequented parties, made many friends and is supported by many home-town DJs. He hosts a bi-weekly radio show which is broadcast to more than 500 listeners per week.

"I've started out with a goal: to bring the sounds of Miami to the rest of the world," he says. While living in different parts of the world, such as London, New York, Beijing, he has played host to many parties and events of all sizes -- perfecting his groove, and sharing it with everyone.

What sets Joshua D apart from most other DJs of his generation is his charisma, ability to read and play for any crowd, and simply the character he brings to a DJ booth. He can serve up beats at a million miles per hour, and shake the walls of any venue, big or small, driving people to dance, groove and go home happy.

His style is dark, deep and tribal. Heavy house drums and a Latin flare from his Miami roots are ever-present in his sets. "People who attend my events typically tell me they love the drums and the progressive house, but they tell me they go nuts when they hear the tribal come through," he says.

Joshua D is influenced by many of the DJs of his hometown of Miami: Oscar G, Louis Puig, Lazardi, Robbie Rivera, David Tort, and Boris to name a few. He is supported by DJs both large and small, and has a fans from across the globe.
